Meet The Founder
An industry expert with more than 15 years of successful experience working with children and families, Lasharee Rogers has a proven ability to create developmental environments where children are not only holistically cared for, but the entire family unit is strengthened and empowered for long-term success.
Having a great mix of strong business acumen, passion for the education and development of children, program development, and strategic implementation, has allowed Lasharee Rogers to stand at the forefront of the child care industry as the founder and Director of Upper Room Kids Academy (5-Star facility located in Concord NC) and the founder and Outreach Director of Upper Room Ministries of NC (Non-profit organization in Concord NC). This has allowed her the opportunity to become very skilled in governmental regulatory compliance, operational efficiency best practices, professional development training, and multi-channel communication strategies.
Lasharee began her career as an educator in 1999, working for the New York City Board of Education as an elementary and middle school teacher. After eight successful years in the classroom, she moved to Concord, NC and founded Upper Room Kids Child Development Center. Always concerned about the education of others, Lasharee also worked as an adjunct instructor for Early Childhood Education Administration Development at Rowan Cabarrus Community College from 2008 to 2011.
She has also answered the call to ministry and has served as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for both her personal ministry as well as ministries within the Concord and Charlotte area. In this role, not only was she a licensed minister, but she oversaw the operations, strategic planning, and overall development of the children’s ministry, middle school ministry, high school ministry, college and young adult ministry, and all affiliated life groups. Lasharee resides in Concord, NC, where she is a loving and dedicated wife, mother of three, and grandmother of two. Her love and passion for the development of children and families only fall second to her unwavering commitment to her family.
Lasharee has also made a commitment to serving children and families internationally. She has been privileged to travel to Kenya, Israel, South Africa, and El Salvador. Lasharee plans to continue her efforts in supporting both her community locally as well as those in need internationally.
